Spamhaus assesses the reputation of each domain across several dimensions. Each dimension is a container which we associate signals with.
The main supported dimensions are:
Automated scoring based on signals extracted from global email metadata.
Automated scoring based on email authentication and encryption configurations.
Scoring based on name servers and domain hosting reputation.
Scoring derived from associations between the domain and malware or botnets.
Scoring based on manual investigations by the Spamhaus research team.
The combined value of all reputation dimensions. Higher positive is better; higher negative is worse.
